This guy looks like a real loser, a mediocre scientist who never amounted to anything, and was mad that he was not treated like a golden boy that his parents told him he was since he was (and still is) a sniveling red-faced spoiled brat.
alzheimers
Security problems caused by aging nuclear scientists who suffer the ravages of dementia along with the associated problems of reduced financial support as the dementia worsen is an issue that has never been successfully solved.
This guy was probably not in his right mind and he doesn't seem to have aged very well. When you combine dementia along with deep bitterness, you have a very poisonous cocktail.

He was in trouble more than 15 years ago.
Give this guy a break Livermore. He was obsessed with fusion just like the rest of you nerds "at Livermore" working on NIF. Who's to say his ideas are any more or less asinine than the NIF concept?
NIF guys don't threaten to sell nuclear weapons technology to Venezuela, nor do they threaten to blow up NYC.
He wasn't "threatening" he was just trying, very incompetently, to try to sell something he really never had, to people who never really paid him any attention. A failed fusion scientist trying to sell bomb knowledge he never even had access to.
wow he is a bigger loser than I originally thought.
Who's to say his ideas are any more or less asinine than the NIF concept?
Duh? Peer Review.
Keep it real.

Obviously, those who knew his ideas and knew they were nuts. Duh.
The dude wasn't any good as a scientist.
Yet his wife, sentenced before him, was an excellent editor/compositor in the publications organization at LANL.
you forgot to add "criminal" and "traitor" to the description of her tenure while at LANL.
Okay okay. "failure" is the wrong term. "mediocre" is being a bit more generous though.
Oh you all should just stop insulting the wacky theoretical physicist. Go read some LANL POGO Blogs or maybe a little off the FAS. Or maybe think about this...what to do when you get ousted by management after YOUR project actually underwent Peer review and was approved while the other one that got all the money was simply a coffer for politicians and management...
Or...go read Sun in a Bottle...Should be called "Backstabbers on Ignition"...or something...fusion physicists are a mean bunch...
