“The project has been criticized for being over budget, behind schedule, and having to overcome technical challenges. However, if successful it could result in the development of bigger reactors and, ultimately, abundant clean energy.”
A line from the NIF playbook.
When is NIF going to stop proclaiming, “net energy gain”? You cannot power the world with lies.
“When is NIF going to stop proclaiming, “net energy gain”? You cannot power the world with lies.”
What is equally true is one cannot power the world with wind, solar, and batteries in the near future, and to claim otherwise, is another expensive tax payer lie with significant economic consequences.
Funny to think some people actually think that NIF was designed and built for electrical power plant research.
That’s not the type of fusion you are looking for.
