For some reason he got thrown into T-Division at LANL for awhile. He was not considered "very smart" in T-Div. In fact he was not taken very seriously. He tried to give few talks about some of his utter nonsense ideas about complexity and got torn to shreds. It was embarrassing. I never found him to be particularly nasty but very uncomfortable and unsure of himself around scientists.

He is one of the worst human beings I've ever met. Loath him. He is very very smart and he will tell you exactly how smart he is.
