The stupidity arises from the fact that a huge population is placed at risk in the short and long term. Why do this kind of experiment in a heavily populated area? Only a moron would push that kind of imbecile area. Do it somewhere else in the god forsaken hills of Los Alamos. Why should the communities in the Bay Area be subjected to such increased risk just because the lab's NIF has failed twice and is trying the Hail Mary pass of doing an SNM experiment just to justify their existence? Hillary Clinton would have considered Saudi Arabia a great ally of the United States, just like Trump did and just like every other president before him did. This could all change and suddenly Iran could become great friends. The thing you bring up like human rights only matter when the country is against you. No, hers was the campaign that BOUGHT false incriminating stories from Russian sources gathered by a disgraced former British intel agent to use against Trump, which were then used uncritically by the FBI to obtain a FISA court warrant against Carter Page who has been disgraced personally as a result but never charged with any crime. The FISA court was not told by the FBI that it knew the "Steele dossier" was known by them to be false. Lots of former FBI and Intel people, high up, going to jail soon.
