Could private investors save NIF? There seems to be a lot of interest in Fusion, so if NIF is so far ahead than why not see if we can get Musk or Gates to pitch in 5 billion or so?

It is quite evident that by prematurely focusing onone approarch that showed early promise, the international fusion enregy community has wasted years and years and trillions of dollars in getting to the goal of sustainable energy. This is what happens when politics dominate s over science. You can expect more of the same -- much, much more -- as the wokies push harder for "climate change" funding by the Dimocrats.
