Pattiz was the UC face and voice of their NNSA lab operation as the Chair of the Board for LANS/LLNS. As much as McMilian was the face and voice of LANL, Pattiz was the public image of the LANL contractor LANS and he will be remembered for his trips to the lab to visit with employees in the workplace and learn about the mission first hand.
