Safety failures

Two more recent safety failures at LANL disclosed by DNFSB

What will Wallace and the UC team have to say about these?

Ah, yes. Just like a bad penny, the DNFSB shows up again and again, adding no value whatsoever.

Shooting the messenger has no impact on the message that the UC has failed in LANL leadership. Putting a geologist and his pack of followers in charge is only the latest failure. More radiation safety failures will happen under these conditions and will come to light. The question is will NNSA be able to install a new operations contractor before another major event happens.

"will NNSA be able to install a new operations contractor before another major event happens"

And this will help how? Still the same group of incompetent managers with a new leader.

Bechtel is one to blame for this.

That has been disproved many times. Keep on claiming it if makes you feel better, but it is not true.

Plenty of other safety and security incidents are waiting to come to light. Wallace and his team are keeping a tight lid on everything. No on wants to spoil the illusion that Terry's boyhood dream of becoming the best director ever at Los Alamos has come true.

Rumors are coming out about multiple crit and nuc safety failures that have happened in recent months and Wallace is indeed keeping a tight lid on them.

Yes, several of the recent failures are being swept under the rug by Wallace and his circle.

Wallace believes that LANL knows better than everybody else therefore problems are not really problems. They are just the way LANL does it, "The right way". He truly believes that LANL is smarter than everybody else in nuclear operations in the world. He has said as much to the NNSA. I cannot believe that the NNSA agreed for him to be Lab director. Hilarious.
