Rumors are that there is about to be an announcement of a new interim CIO. Also to be rumored is the the new interim CIO is going to be Donna Crawford.
This announcement has been rumored to be imminent for some time now.
Maybe something will finally happen in IT. It has been too long without proper leadership or direction

And what the hell does Donna Crawford know about IT? She might know about supercomputing, but IT? She has no business experience and has no idea how to run a real IT shop, you know, where you have to actually support and maintain systems. This would put a bullet in Bechtel's plan to make LLNL run like a business.
Unfortunately, she knows
even less about supercomputing. BTW, her
previous position was an IT manager at Sandia.
