Both LLNS/LANS "slime ball" organizations.

Money went to NIF with NNSA's concurrence-Employees were sacrificed why do you think NIF was excluded from the RIF? What is missing from the report is yearly carryover -possibly even more than 280 million was diverted for the great laser project.

During transition LLNS was given extra money to pay the salaries of the so called 30 managers. Extra money was sent from DOE for all the new transition activities to adjust the newly formed for profit LLC to privatization. This money was over and above already allocated operating dollars. GAO should investigate and if found to have committed fraud, management should pay a heavy price. Not the remaining workers who as each day pass worry more and more about their jobs.

At the rate this country is falling down the abyss, none of the three labs will be around in 5-10 years. We are in a death spiral, and the gov. is too polarized and corrupt to care. The LLC knows it, so they are "getting theirs" before the cards fall.

Strap in, the ride is going top get a lot bumpier.

...and they cried, "Let the hunger games begin!"

There is fraud all over this county, from the foreclosed homes across the land , all the way up to, and including, those in charge in the White house.

If you feel mistreated, act on it. Give management a rough road. Wait for justice and it simply will not happen.

Recipe for disaster, if you care about your career and your family. No "act on it" advice can ever result in anything good. The good advice is just get out. Now. No need to suffer one more day. Just get the hell out of the toxic environment, because you can't fix it.

Pretty much as I remember it.

There's only one problem with the GAO. It's the Government. Both the GAO and DOE-IG are worthless organizations. Nothing ever becomes of their reports they write other than end up in a land fill or in fireplaces.

Comments here went from 9 to 8 last night. Scooby's censorship button at work, without explanation or reason, as usual. His "editorial" attention is killing the free expression of ideas and feelings on this blog. No posts I've seen cross his "rules" stated on the front page. Scooby. just go away already. (Here comes the "don't let the door hit you..." reply.)

I hope everyone that got paid off durng the transition at LLNL sues LLNS for every dime they have, get their jobs back with full credit for all the years lost, all those years are applied to their UC pension and they retire shortly thereaafter. That should cost LLNS a few hundred million dollars and put teir ausses in the street looking for a bandaid.
