That "blow-out" of the yellow "Other Managers" on the right side of the graph.... the Bechtelian Invasion of LANL.
Now now.. that yellow band is called "more oversight" corresponding to the post-Nanos period.
I would love to see how much of the overhead (cost) went into salary and benefits vs other overhead costs.
Someone else asked on the other thread somethign to this effect - to what degree management draws on the budget.
It looks like Knapp's plan of eliminating all the LANL W76 Engineers is finally beginning to "pay off". It took a while, but Knapp's efforts to "unplug" nuclear weapon expertise at LANL is finally succeeding. Hecka'va job Knapp, hecka'va of job....
LANS/Bechtel LLC will call the current trend a grand "success" once the chart has completely flipped over from the previous decades and LANL has 70% of the workforce as managers plus support and only 30% as scientists... with most of those remaining "scientists" being little more than low-level engineers.
