Retraction of journal article authored by (now) Sandia postdoc:

http://retractionwatch.com/2014/02/25/inconsistent-errors-and-unknowing-authors-force-retraction-of-microbiology-paper/

There are also rumors of plagiarism of a paper authored by another Sandia researcher in the Journal of Physical Chemistry C

This is a problem not just at Sandia but at other national labs, including the other weapons labs, and universities. I know because I am a referee for Physical Review and I have caught such people. Nature and Science magazines have discussed these issues.

Regarding the previous post about the Sandia plagiarism in the Journal of Physical Chemistry C:

Apparently this was brought up in a meeting the other day, and an ongoing investigation of the first 2 authors is underway.

I'm sure these authors must have something to do with the Chili cookoff that involved no chili.

Not unusual for a institution that does not have an ethics board maybe Jennifer Szutu is in charge of that too.

So one co-author forced a retraction, why wasn't this done with Lindl's papergate publication?

Don't know why you are guys are worried about Sandia, when LLNL takes the cake in large-scale dishonesty.
