Amnesty for PRC ties?

Very subtle article that uses unsubstantiated accusations of racism to allow the Chinese to continue spying in this country. It advocates the amnesty for PRC ties. The real agenda is to stop the counterintelligence effort against the PRC spying and infiltration of US universities.

Some interesting issues here. In the case of Charles Lieber, the head of the chemistry department at Harvard, he was receiving $50,000 a month from his handlers in China. I believe he didn’t even declare that on his taxes. Under this amnesty does he have to return the money or pay taxes? How much is forgiven? Also, one of the intents of this money was to have people like Lieber bring over Chinese graduate students who were presumably going to spy, steal technology, from US labs and universities. Are those Chinese agents forgiven as well?
