LANL may get a boost
LANL could get almost a billion dollars more if the bill goes through.
The question is will this all just get cut in years time or is this going to continue? The Los Alamos study group will not be happy.
It is odd that America is going broke cannot spend enough money on Covid yet we are going to spend 3 billion on Los Alamos when Savanah River could easily do the work.

I am not so sure LANL should be so happy with this. LANL is simply turning into Rocky Flats New Mexico. In short order LANL will be only a pit production facility, so long for any science.
You are not clear on where LANL's science funding comes from. Hint: not the weapons program.
Savannah River can not do it. You, like most in the DOE have a vision of Savannah River that has been gone for 50 years.
