So what took its place and when will we find that out for sure. Did they now stick us with Kiaser the meat locker butcher HMO or will we have an insurance that is as goo but took its place.

If they don't offer 1 other HMO (Health Net), there will be a lawsuit as many people are receiving care for current illness's and will not be covered by Kaiser. PacificCare is a rumor, not a fact yet!

The facts will be delivered to your mailbox this week. Can you imagine all the retired folks on Pacific Care having to switch to Blue Cross or Kaiser???

It will be a choice of 3: Blue Cross, Kaiser and Healthnet. No one loses. PacifiCare Dr.'s take Healthnet too.

Neko - you were right. So long Health Net and PacificCare. I just saw a copy of the "2009 Employee Open Enrollment Guide" The following are being offered:

Kaiser Permanente CA;
Anthem Blue Cross EPO Exclusive;
Anthem Blue Cross Plus;
Anthem Blue Cross PPO and;
Blue Cross Core.

These are all offered in two price tiers: Those who make $129,000 or laess and another tier for those who make more. If there is any good news out of this, the Kaiser plan is much cheaper this year for the $129,000 or less folks. only $100.00 a month to insure an entire family.

I stand corrected. Pacificare and Healthnet were both cut. Supposedly, Anthem Blue Cross EPO will be in place of the 2 cut. Another step towards selling us out by decreasing our benefits and low pay raises. The retirees must be picking up their jaws by now. And...the layoffs continue. Another long time GOOD employee let ago today in O & B. In the mean time people still don't get it and abuse time and play on the internet all day. I don't get it except to say "I'm not busting my bum to work hard anymore." Meets requirements works for me!

Not to worry, anything more than "meets requirements" must have justification from above your reviewer's pay grade. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!

Look in your mailboxes people. I got my rate increase for every available insurances in the mail today. This in conjunction with a crappy pay raise package gets the message across very well. I can honestly see why the young don't want to work here, those who are close to retirement will leave and only the ones who have to many years in or aren't good enough for the outside world will stay. I can't wait to see what LLNL looks like ten years from now. It'll be nothing but "Walkers, wheel chairs, crutches and canes". LLNS aka WWCC worksite. Repeat these words to the a tune from the wizzard of oz. All we need now are the directors GM and EM standing their in ruby slipper clicking their heals together at the NIF target chamber saying repeat after me nifites,"there's no place like home", "there's no place like home". Have you gotten a mental picture yet.
