Split the blog

Please split the blog up. LLNL and LANL have next to nothing in common.

Good suggestion. Not enough bandwidth to manage. Would you like to volunteer?

Nothing in common, except primary mission (nuclear weapons), principal funding agency (DOE), operating LLC board of governors (LANS/LLNS), operating LLC principals (UC/Bechtel), ...

True, there are other things not in common, such as property taxes, traffic congestion, accessible outdoor recreation, smog, quality public schools, wages, and the view from the office and lab.

LANS and LLNS are anchored at the hip. After 2018, LANS 2.0 and LLNS will be anchored at the hip.

Since most of the "action" (aka screw ups) happens at LANL, most of the postings are about that site. If you get a blog on only LLNL stuff, the cricket chirping will drown out the the postings.

There's that cowboy culture of arrogance again.

Nanos, please quit posting here. Your legacy is ensured regardless.

This thread adequately makes the case for separate blogs. LANL hss internal difficulties and difficult anti-social posters. LLNLs difficulties are external and posters are informed, heloful and composed.
