It looks like the next dose of sequestration will be going through on Jan 1st, so prepare for even more cut-backs and head count reductions at all the labs for FY2014 and probably every year thereafter.
You might want to "spend you day" polishing up your resumes and search the job ads.

Fact! Medical insurance up. Raises poor. Furloughs. Layoffs. Loss of young staff. Terrible morale. Unneeded 7% salary reductions for an overfunded plan that NNSA reneged on contributing to.
Time to go alright.
You people are getting so screwed and have been for at least three to four years, that is the blue collar. The white collars been getting their big raises and bonus checks all along. Have some balls and do what BART did and now the Port of Oakland truckers are doing.

Yes and everyone hates the Bart union because they are a bunch of high school dropouts.
Look at UPTE it is protecting workers who should be fired for talking back to managers. But they would have you believe something different.
Guy down the hall is quitting after about 25 years at the lab. Might be he has the right idea, bail out and beat the rush out the door, voluntary or involuntary.
Let it end in peace! Turn off the lights, close the door and now face what thou has rought. Now those who where blinded by prosperity will soon loose all they stole. Within five years hunger will be what they profess to end because it will be them who hunger. The promises made in the past will not be kept and they will ask why but no answer will come. The incessant down-sizing of the NNSA labs is not finished, not by a long shot. Unfortunately, more pain is still to come before a meta-stable state is reached.

Yep, and BART and The Port of Oakland employees are laughing at you gutless swines all the way to the bank. better pay, guaranteed pay raises and cheaper medical cost while your medical cost are going up or did you not notice, you paycheck is going down, your pension is going bye-bye and you get to be stressed out to the max everyday wondering if you're next. Yep, real stupid high school drop-outs.

Lets hope they offer it and all those who missed the boat the last time get on an leave before that hell hole LLNL takes you down. Good thing all those people in the home were deaf, the song sucked. BART and the Port of Oakland people are still kicking you LLNL and LANL employees asses on all points.
