Nothing sad about the adults getting back in control and finally honoring the debt commitments they've already made.

Nope, that's because there are no adults who can or will say hell no, no more spending. We are going to pay off the national debt regardless of what we have to shut down and then after that we're going to pay off the $126T of unfunded liabilities W/O raising taxes on any one for any reason and not only that we're going to do away with the IRS and go to a flat 10%, no write offs for anything and a 5% VAT tax on everything. Oh and on Dec 31st, 2013 we're going to mandate anyone born after 12/31/2013 will not have to pay into SS or Medicare but will also not receive any. They will have to buy their own insurance to get them by from 65 until death. The SS Ponzi scheme must come to an end. period. Until we have such people at the top we as a nation will go down the poop chute of one world order and the collective BORG so many socialist of this nation push for.

I like anyone with is willing to admit there is a problem and pay off their bills W/O raising taxes on anyone for any reason ever. Anyone who is for the abolishment of the IRS and it's 60,000 lines of tax code of write-offs. Yes, I am for a flat 10% tax and a 5% VAT tax and that "all", no other taxes of any kind. It is time for being able to keep 90% of what they earn.

Hey 12:07pm

I am not saying you are wrong but do you really understand how the debt works? You know they where saying this exact same thing in 80s. Debt is out of control the nation is doomed and so on in 20 years will we all all be poor and so on. In the end this was 100% wrong. Do you understand economics? Again I am not saying I know either however I know enough about economics to know that saying "well common sense says" does not apply and you have to understand some rather subtle points.

I'm just amazed that the people that work at the"LABS" are for smaller government......doesn't that mean them?

Anonymous said...

It is interesting how well we did as a nation back when we had higher tax rate and how the very people who gain their job security from taxes seem to think they don't need or deserve that security. Perhaps some of you are right and you should see if the private sector could use whatever skills you posses. Or you can embrace your hipocracy as you pretend otherwise.

adults? what is mature about an expanding $17T debt?

$65k per person?

Fools who have no self control. Despicable.

It was worth stopping things to alert all "hey stupid, you're going broke".

Do it again each quarter until a workable plan, Simpson Boyles, O'bamas, Paul's or someone in between but get going!

Compensation and benefits must be cut. Methods of taxation must be made that don't kill economic viability.

Move! Lazy fools. Move!

Hey dummy, maybe it time they start to be accountable and not spend more than you bring in and if you can't pay cash don't but it. That would really hurt you hah ? Freeloader suck the life out of a country.

Yes. California needs to start charging tuition for grammar school to get rid of all of the freeloading trash, who aren't learning anything anyway, judging by the posts on this blog.

Also, California needs to seriously increase hunting and fishing license fees to reflect the true value of the meat harvested by those freeloaders.

Just kick the can down the road. Apparently, that's the "adult" solution to all of the economic problems in this country.

I'm new to this site and I'm more than a little surprised at how simple minded those who want us to believe that the sky is falling are.
We're fine and we'll be fine as long as we learn to ignore and reject those who want us to fail.

As they say: The GOP doesn't believe that the Government works and if you elect them they will prove it to you.

Anonymous said...

And the Democrats believe the government should control your life, and if you elect them, they'll prove it to you.

Anonymous said...

I'm still very much in charge of my life.
What have they proposed that would change that truth?
OR are you just parroting the things your news tells you to say?

Anonymous said...

You must have an extremely narrow life if you haven't bumped into the government telling you what or what not to do. Or taking your money to give to somebody else. Or dictating what size soft drinks you can buy.

More likely, the government is so far into your pants (and everybody else's) that you just don't notice it any more.

Hey 2:21
You listen to way too much Fox news.

You mean the news that actually tells the people the truth not the left wing propaganda machine ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC and CNN is?

Anonymous said...

Yes, the one that indoctrinates you

Anonymous said...

Perhaps it's just a matter of my being able to do the things I've always done that leads me to believe that the present government isn't in my "pants".
Now if we're talking about voter suppression and limiting woman's rights, the rejection of people of color by a certain segment of the country then perhaps you're right about them being in our business a bit too much.

Perhaps this is a good time for you to tell me/us what specifically the gov is preventing you from doing.

Or dictating what size soft drinks you can buy.

When I think how many Type 2 diabetics are going to be on Medicare, limiting soda size doesn't seem like such a bad idea. True that people can always buy two, but much behavioral economics suggests that many people don't actually process their options that way.

When I worked in a hamburger joint in the 70s, the soda sizes were 8, 12 and 16 ounces. Has it really been an act of liberation to now have 32 and 64 ounce sodas?

Since the leftest Socialistic National Democratic party too over our freedoms are disappearing. The government takes my money and gives it to parasites. They have my bank account and the money vanishes. They tell me what what food and how much food I can have. The send thousands of drones to watch my every mood. They take my guns and give them to the parasites. They tell me that I need a license to drive a car, that I need a license to hunt for my food. They control media, the government and the law. I keep hearing about how we have too many rich people and that it is unfair...to the parasites. They tax the people with money to give to the...parasites. They keep borrowing money then spending it one parasites. We owe China 300 trillion dollars...think about that 300 trillion dollars. We could not pay that back for next 10000 years even in we stop spending now. All this is thanks to the...parasites. And then there is NNSA labs. We need to stop the spending on Ph.d parasites. There are too many parasites, way way too many parasites. I think about parasites alot and you should as well. 300 trillion, think about that, it will be 400 trillion more next year. We cannot pay that back. All this so the parasites can feed and feed. I feel bad knowing that there are so many parasites attached to me.

Please provide one shred of evidence for your sick, paranoid claims. Who exactly takes money out of your account without your permission? Who exactly tells you how much food you can have? When have you seen thousands of drones watching your mood? Who exactly took your guns away? Either you have been adjudicated mentally ill and involuntarily institutionalized, or perhaps you should be. Jeez, stay away from normal people and please don't procreate.

Well it's certainly interesting to read the wingnut unibomber type manfesto that was posted @ 8:10 this evening.
I'd hope that someone is keeping a eye on some of these nuts.

Hate to say it but he's correct. You need to wake up however I do realize many people are too stupid to even realize how much they really pay in taxes. All they look at is their federal and state and then vote for higher taxes so they can have everything they want at some one else expense. There's your parasites..

Anonymous said...

You're free to promote the flawed idea that most of us don't know what we pay in taxes.
Although, based on the most recient GOP/tea folks' actions and the fact that a majority of red states aren't self sufficient*, that "so they can have everything and everyone else expense" appears to be one of the primary desires of the present day right.

* They receive much more $ from the Fed. than they pay to the Fed.

They take my guns and give them to the parasites...

What guns have they taken from you, let alone given to anyone else? Unless you are a convicted felon, it certainly wasn't a pistol, shotgun or any of the vast majority of long rifles.

I'm sorry the Founding Fathers didn't have the foresight to protect everyone's right to have a bazooka. Or a 20-round magazine so they can field process the deer immediately into ground venison.

I see a LOT of paranoid whining, copied straight from the Fox/Faux News feed, but still not one SHRED of real, verifiable, evidence.

If you can't come up with real data, just go away and have your paranoia elsewhere. Asshat.

China is not a "superpower." Most of their population outside the major cities lives in third-world poverty. They have ambitions and pretensions. And not much more. They own 8% of US debt. So what? Obama not showing up was his decision - he could easily have gone with no ill effects here. Fortunately his decision not to go avoided his inevitable grandiose, self-important posturing that just pisses off everyone else in the world.

Anonymous said...

I'm OK with your seeming belief that Asia isn't an important part of the world. And that Obama's need to stay home is no big deal and would have been met with disgust, equal to your own, anyway.
I'm sure that China appreciates folks who think like you do.

Anonymous said...

You think China appreciates people who think China is at best a second-world country? Yeah, that makes sense.

Anonymous said...

No I think China appreciates folks like you who so willingly surrender our leading role in major aspects of Asian trade.
Then again our previous president did the same thing so maybe that's why so many of you don't see Asia as important.

China thanks you for your support.
